Evaluation
Question 1
When we asked whether our target audience liked the colour scheme of the magazine 100% of those asked said that they liked the colour scheme. What this shows is that we were successful in applying a colour scheme to the magazine that would attract our target audience.
Question 2
The next question we asked our audience is what stood out to them the most. Out of the four options that we gave them 100% of our audience replied that the main image stood out the most. This was the response that we wanted as the main image portrays what our film is about. This showed us that the main image was successful as it was the first item of the magazine that they were drawn to, which will make them more interested in the film and want to find out more about it.
Question 3
Another question we asked was how well the magazine and the trailer linked together. 75% of our audience said that they both link very well and 25% of the audience said the some elements our similar. Even though none of the audience said that nothing between the trailer and magazine link together, we were hoping to have all of our audience see a lot of links between the trailer and magazine. This means that we will need to improve the synergy between the trailer and magazine so that they look more similar.
Question 4
One of the main elements of the magazine is the cover lines, so for one of the questions we decided to ask whether we need to add in more cover lines. Again we had a split with 75% of the audience saying we don't need any more cover lines and 25% saying that we need to add more.
Question 5
For the magazine we had to make sure that the magazine suited the horror genre so we asked our target audience " Does the magazine suit the horror genre?" 100% of our target audience said that they believed that the magazine suits the horror genre. This was certainly the response that we had hoped for from our target audience as we needed to make sure that the magazine fits the correct genre of horror, otherwise we would've made a magazine for a different horror genre.
Question 6
One of the aims of the magazine is to get our target audience to go and see the film. So for question six we asked "Does the magazine influence you to go and watch the film?" From our feedback 75% of out target audience said that they would go and see the film after seeing it in the magazine. However, 25% of our target audience said that they wouldn't. From this feedback it showed us that we need to improve the magazine in order to get more people to come and see it.
Question 7
For our final question we asked our target audience "Do you like the layout of the magazine?" All of our target audience said that they liked the layout of the magazine. This means that during the construction of the magazine we put the text, images etc. in the correct places in order to make the product look like a magazine.
Conclusion.
Overall, from the majority of the feedback we received from our target audience was positive. This showed us that for the majority of the products we produced most of our target audience liked it. However, we did receive some negative feedback which showed us how we need to improve our products. For example, we needed to improve the magazine in order to get more of our audience to take a bigger interest in the film as not all of our audience said they would see the film after seeing it in the magazine. Even though we had good feedback on how similar our magazine and trailer look not all of our audience felt that there was enough similar features. This showed us that we needed to improve the synergy between the magazine and the trailer in order to make them look more similar so we can improve our brand identity.
